Matthiasson Schiopettino 2020 12x750ml 2020 (Case only) skus_0646 Initially rather closedThe Schioppettino has fascinating flavors of cedar, black pepper, violets, and raspberry. It is incredibly fresh tasting, with a stony minerality underlying the cooling flavors. It has naturally low alcohol and a very refreshing and clean finish. The tiny lot of wine fit into only two puncheons. We used the larger format puncheons instead of normal barrels to slow down the aging and preserve the aromatics.
